The long awaited anniversary post

Its been like a month and I keep forgetting to do this…

Two years ago I met someone who could not stop making me laugh. I met someone who made me feel seen and heard, and brought back long gone feelings of butterflies in my stomach. That someone was Tyler Whitten, my best friend and boyfriend built into one person. I don’t think I’ve ever really met anyone who understands every part of me, who knows how to encourage me to be the best version of myself, and who makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.

This year for our anniversary we took a trip over to Orlando, spending a night in the city and then spending the following day in Disney.

On the first night we went to Oza Izakaya, a Japanese restaurant featuring tapas-like food. My favorite dish was definitely the truffle spicy tuna roll, and Tyler’s was their pan fried gyoza.

I had such an awesome time at this dinner. Anything I wanted to try was quickly ordered without any hesitation, and any dish we ordered was shared so we could both try and enjoy everything there was to offer.
Afterwards we got soft serve! Due to how huge they were, and how quick they melted, I didn’t get any pictures.

Then morning came, and it was time for Disney! I was fortunate to have gotten two free tickets when I performed in in Epcots candlelight celebration last year, making our trip much more affordable than planned. We went to Magic Kingdom as I was extremely excited to ride Tron. (which was awesome by the way) We tried snacks and enjoyed an amazingly calm day at the parks, riding everything we wanted to go on and then some!!

The day ended with us getting Chik-fi-la and enjoying our time at a local card shop. All in all it was a perfect anniversary weekend, and I think that there was really no way it could be better. Getting to spend time with the person that I love is the best thing that I could have hoped for. I am so thankful to Tyler for making this an incredible trip, and smoothing out all the little bumps in the road we encountered. Despite all the little things, the big picture was something beautiful and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I would like to note that this trip wasn’t on our actual anniversary date, and I’m going to include photos from our actual date night at the movies.

And as my final note, I want to thank Ty for everything that he does for me. I love you so much and I am so thankful that I met you. These past two years have been so wonderful, and I feel so at peace when I’m by your side.
To this year and dozens more!

Goodbye for now, and I’ll see you on the next post!
